The spread of 5G connectivity is expected to create new value across Indian industry and society. In the medical field, its technological applications, enabled by a set of key functional features, will allow real-time streaming of patient health data to hospitals. This will enable doctors to advise paramedics in moving ambulances to administer the required medical aid. It may also benefit our MSME sector. Many small distributors or warehouses could get better connected with other players in their ecosystem, thus helping boost their mutual synergies, leading to more cost-effective operations. Over two-thirds of Indian enterprises are likely to make their largest investment in 5G in the coming three years, compared to other emerging technologies. Rising private sector investments are also expected to change the rules of the game in the direction of efficiency. The future looks bright.
