India's reviving economy

13 SEP,2021 | MEDC

The RBI Governor has expressed optimism about the revival prospects of our Covid-hit economy. As of now, RBI’s growth projection of 9.5% for this financial year stands. That kindles hope for the economy, despite the fact that there is a base effect of last year which will have its impact throughout this fiscal. Simultaneously, the possibility of a third wave cannot be ruled out. However, individuals and organizations throughout the country are today more adapted to Covid protocols, and so, the worst economic effects of the pandemic are now likely behind us. RBI’s expectation is that inflation is expected to gradually moderate henceforth. All these are welcome indicators implying that the outlook for our economy is not as bleak as previously believed.
